Here are some of my favorite education sites.
This page has sites relating to general teaching
categories. There are also specific links on each
page of teach-and-learn.org.
Let me know if there's a great site I've overlooked. Also, please let me know if any of these
links have broken. Happy Surfing!

If your school district has given you a list of objectives that they’re
trying to pass off as the “curriculum”, don’t despair. There's some help out there. Here's what curriculum is really supposed to be:
curriculum (plural
curricula): A plan of instruction that details what students are to
know, how they are to learn it, what the teacher's role is, and the context in
which learning and teaching will take place.
This definition is from http://www.ncrel.org/sdrs/areas/misc/glossary.htm. Fortunately, some places have posted curricula online. This can really help those of us who teach
in mandate-without-curriculum situations.

online professional development.
Performance Assessment- Chicago Public Schools This is a great training site
on performance assessment. (Did anybody say rubric?) Speaking of
rubrics... You can go to
http://rubistar.4teachers.org/index.php to print or create one.
The Association for
Supervision and Curriculum Development
This is a great site for teachers seeking to improve their
practice and for education leaders. Of course, every teacher is a leader, but you know what I mean.
Some content is members only, but you can
